Welcome to Monday, Wednesday, Tuesday Strategies

Hi, I’m Shani Saunders—a strategist and storyteller with deep roots in cultural preservation, community engagement, and nonprofit growth. I hold dual Master’s degrees in Nonprofit Leadership (School of Social Policy & Practice) and Law (Penn Carey Law) from the University of Pennsylvania, and bring more than 30 years of experience in organizational leadership, consulting, and community-based initiatives to this work.

As the founder of Monday, Wednesday, Tuesday Strategies, I partner with nonprofits, cultural organizations, and grassroots leaders to help them amplify their stories, deepen community engagement, and secure the resources needed to thrive. My work is guided by a deep belief in the power of storytelling to shape legacy and drive lasting impact.

Whether you're building a preservation initiative, launching a fundraising campaign, or designing a community-centered program, I'm here to help you move with confidence and purpose.

Let’s build something that lasts.

Why this work matters to me

My roots are in Camden and Lawnside, New Jersey, communities that shaped who I am and how I see the work of building something that lasts.
Years ago, I owned a small bakery café, where I catered events and served sweet delicacies to a community of loyal customers. Eventually, I had to close the doors because I simply couldn't afford to keep the business open. It was a hard lesson, one I still carry with me today. Passion alone doesn't sustain an organization. It takes strategy, strong relationships, and sustainable resources.
That experience shapes how I work today. I understand what it feels like to scramble to make payroll and to watch a mission you believe in strain under financial pressures that have nothing to do with the value of the work itself. It's why I'm passionate about helping cultural organizations and mission-driven nonprofits build the trust, strategic clarity, and sustainable funding they need to thrive, not just today, but for years to come.
Together, let's build something that honors your history, strengthens your community, and creates lasting impact.

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore—
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over—
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?
